C2C 2022 Epilogue

 May 7, 2022

Lynn and I spent two days in St Augustine. Then we began the two day drive home. We stop in Cow Pens, SC to visit Lynn's brother Tom. We started in 80-90 degree weather finishing in 50-60 degrees in Dexter. We came home to find one of our backyard trees had fallen on the transmission lines that cross our property.

This tour was challenging and rewarding. We became good friends with several of the other riders. The desert section I found to be the most challenging. It was a welcome sight when we finally came to flowing water and green grass in mid Texas. Speaking of Texas; 19 days was a long time to ride in one state!

I think the most amazing aspect of this particular tour was the lack of rain esp while riding. There was really only one day I rode in rain and only a few days that it rained on the camp sites. We had warm to hot temperatures. but not miserable heat.

I rode EFI except for the one day the tour operators  suggested not to ride due to high winds. And speaking of WINDS. We had our share of winds on the ride esp head winds; so I guess that made up for the lack of rain days---NOT.

Below  is a set of photos taken by others on the ride.
