Drove to Yukon Government Campground at Lake Creek. On the way we hiked the Spruce Beetle Trail. Spruce Beetles are similar to Ash Bore. They kill the host tree, but some trees were able to resist. Yukon has great campgrounds; clean pit toilets, free firewood (you will need to split) and nice spacing. Our site was on the edge of the White River; the neighbor campers told me they caught several Graylings in the river fly fishing. The water was clear and fast. After a pleasant evening then it is on to the border crossing, then Tok and beyond.
