ALCAN Day36 Tatchan Creek 329km/ 205miles

 August 10, 2024

We left Dawson City and headed south on the Klondike Hwy. Mostly an uneventful drive except when we came across a fox on the road and when we had ~5 mile stretch of road under construction which was driving on a "mud" road behind a pilot truck. We made it to our destination of Tatchan Creek Lake CG just short of the the of Carmacks (the name of the family that found the gold of the Klondike gold rush). As I think I have said these Yukon Government campgrounds are very nice and provide free campfire wood (if can split it).    Tomorrow is to Whitehorse and beyond.
