Conditions:Clear and cool to start with an annoying head wind esp for the "big" climb at the beginning. Became mild to warm with a mild cross to tail wind.
Notes: The first ~1/3 of the ride headed north and had head winds and one long slog of a climb. Then we made a turn to the east and the winds became more crossing to tail to finally tail. We are in Texas hill country so the much of the ride was over "rolling" hills. Then we came to the Guadalupe river and this had to be one of the most scenic rides so far.
Today marked the halfway point of the tour. (We are also in the middle of Texas)
We had lunch in Hunt, TX, at the Hunt Store----this place was big on Kinky Friedman.
